This was our first big adventure on the Harley Davidson.
I had spent a few weeks mapping out this road trip. If it weren't for the conference in Ohio, we could spend a little more time flying-by-the-seat-of-our-pants on this roadtrip. Unfortunately, we were limited on each stop we made based on time constraints.
No problem! We would enjoy every minute and every stop we make!
The trip had us spending 13 nights on the road, hitting six different states, and amassing 2,600 miles on the bike. Were we ready for this? It would be our first major road trip, and we hoped we were prepared for each and every obstacle ahead of us. Rain scared me the most!
Destination #1: We are headed for the Smoky Mountains! And, while we are in Pigeon Forge, we also want to visit Gatlinburg, Dollywood, and enjoy our stay in the log cabin rental.
Destination #2: Nashville awaits us! We want to see the Country Music Hall of Fame, hang out at the honky tonk bars, and get tickets to the Grand Ol' Opry!
Destination #3: Heading north to Ohio, we planned to stop in Louisville, KY and check out the Muhammad Ali museum and take a factory tour of Louisville Slugger.
Destination #4: Arriving in Ohio, we want to do more than just attend a school conference in Columbus. How boring! We listed a few sites to see before coming home. Longaberger basket headquarters. Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Cedar Point Amusement Park!
